This week the food trends continue.. I’m not sure if this list is conclusive of just this week- or really more indicative of this entire month!  I’ve seen a multitude of these five features over and over again- but who is complaining?!  I’m pinning them myself!

1. Quinoa.  Quinoa is all the rave- and how can it not?  The versatility of this grain is outstanding.  I could create an entire pin board dedicated to it.  From BBQ chicken, to a crn and poblano version- but at the top of my ‘must try’ list is  this Grilled Vegetable Carrot Quinoa from Multiply Delicious.  It sounds incredible..and I’m so pumped up for summer and warm weather!  I think I’ve found the perfect recipe to bust out the burners on my grill!

2. Buffalo.. Anything! Pretty sure pinteresters have found every way you can possibly do buffalo.  From dips, to small plates, puffs and cakes, and made it’s way with pasta and salads.  The Tex-Mex theme has seemed to take a front seat to these buffalo (chicken) recipes- like buffalo chicken tacos and these delicious sounding Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas

3. Food in Jars.  So, i know you will agree-food in jars is nothing new- but with summer coming up, and backyard inspired party themes- food (particularly layered salads) in jars seem like a fun and oh-so-cute way to entertain.  I think this Sprouted Sping Salad in a Jar is particularly adorable.

4. Nutella. While sweets don’t do a thing for me.. and chocolate appeases me even less- Nutella is another story.  I don’t classify it in any other category but one in and of itself.  I love Nutella.  My love for this hazelnut spread is shared by others- as I found many had entire pinboards dedicated to it.  My Baking Addiction got it right with these  No Bake Nutella Cheesecakes.  Hello, sweetness.  Get in my belly.

5. Mini Food.  How adorable is little food?  The creativity I’ve seen out of these small plates is incredible and leaves me constantly thinking ‘Why didn’t I think of that?’ These Artichoke Stuffed Baked Potato Bites sound divine- and my next Supper Club menu would be a great place to include them.  I know my friends would love!  Mini dips, meatballs, shooters, sliders, and even dessert bites (Like those no bake cheesecakes up there..) are all the rave.  I think I want to have a party dedicated to these little two-bite foods.  Make it like a pot-luck?  Oh, yes.  I’m in.
