My bestest work buddy found a recipe for chocolate dipped marshmallows (she prefers to call them- dirty snowballs- hilarious.) I decided I definitly had to test my hand in making some of my own! And besides.. no one likes a nakey (naked) marshmallow..

I made asked my Fireman to help, too.. the recipe calls for 12 marshmallows. I’m so glad more than 12 come in a package. He hoovered at least 12 before we even melted the chocolate.
12 large marshmallows
1/4 cup sprinkles or shimmering sugar
(ohhh, vanilla cinnamon sugar would be YUM!)
12 sucker sticks or straws (optional)
To melt your caramel, microwave at HIGH 1 1/2 to 2 minutes or until caramels melt and mixture is smooth, stirring with a whisk after every minute. Set aside. To prepare your mashmallows for dipping, stick a festive straw or sucker stick into each marshmallow. Set out a sheet of parchment or wax paper (non-stick aluminum foil would work, too). Once the caramel is melted dip each marshmallow into the caramel, covering completely. Place each dipped marshmallow onto the prepared parchment. Allow the caramel marshmallows to cool completely. Once cooled (this can take up to a half an hour) melt the chocolate. Place chocolate in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute or until chocolate melts, stirring every 15 seconds. You can also do this in a double boiler on the stove top. Dip each marshmallow into the chocolate 2/3 of the way. Cool briefly and then quicikly dip marshmallow bottoms into sprinkles of choice while chocolate is still slightly soft. Allow to cool before serving.
